Jerry Kartzinel, MD
David Kirby
Dr. Kartzinel’s practice is solely devoted to the research and treatment of autism and other neurodegenerative disorders. His approach includes a comprehensive history and physical exam, and laboratory investigations that seek to find what is biologically different in a child. Once found, he implements therapeutic interventions and monitors closely how they affect restoration of health and behaviors. Dr. Kartzinel is now working with Dr. Julie Buckley at Pediatric Partners. Dr. Kartzinel will present "Common Medical Problems and Treatment Options for Children with Autism" with important new findings. 
Mr. Kirby is the author of the groundbreaking book Evidence of Harm, which has sold more than 50,000 copies. David Kirby has been a professional journalist for more than 15 years, and has written for The New York Times for the past eight years. Kirby was a contracted writer with the weekly City Section at The Times, where he covered public health, local politics, art and culture, film and theater, architecture, zoning and land use, among many other subjects. David will present the findings from his book, the latest news, important new research and the upcoming Omnibus hearings. 
Shannon Kenitz
Sudhir Gupta, MD
Shannon Kenitz is the Executive Director of the International Hyperbaric Association, a non-profit association that promotes hyperbaric oxygen therapy through education and research. Shannon knows first hand the heartbreak and struggles of having a child with autism. Her youngest daughter, Grace was diagnosed with a very rare mitochondrial disease that kept her in the hospital virtually for the first three years of her life then at age 5 was given a diagnosis of autism.

Shannon has appeared on many national media outlets including the Montel Williams Show and the CBS morning show. Grace’s story in one of national attention and has been published in over 35 print media outlets as well as being heard in Washington at the Congressional hearing on health care reform. Shannon’s talk will be on “Hope & Possibilities.” This uniquely designed presentation gives families a new found sense of hope when dealing with the everyday craziness of having a special needs child. It is a story of one parent’s struggles through the medical system, a system that decided that her daughter’s life was no longer worth saving and fighting for.

Dr. Sudhir Gupta is the highest ranking Professor of Medicine Pathology, Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, the Chief of the Division of Basic and Clinical Immunology at the University of California, Irvine. He is internationally known for his important contributions in the fields of cellular and molecular immunology as it relates to AIDS, cancer research, aging, primary immunodeficiency diseases, and autism. 

Dr. Gupta has published more than 450 scientific publications, invited reviews, and book chapters. He has edited 20 books in various areas of cellular, molecular and applied immunology. Dr. Gupta has trained more than 50 physicians and scientist from all over the globe.  Many of his trainees are now Professors and Head of the Departments at major Universities around the globe. Dr. Gupta will present "Unifying Concept of Autism and Biological Therapy."
