Presenter:  Jennifer Dustow, PhD

Speaker Background: Dr. Jennifer Dustow has a Doctorate in Education and is a Cognitive Behavioral Learning Specialist. She recently founded and directed the Cornerstone Educational Preschool. The non-profit preschool's mission of building the curriculum around the child, rather than placing a child in a curriculum proved extremely effective. Despite all odds, the preschool achieved what it set out to do before closing its doors earlier this year. It accomplished the task of  showing that Dr. Dustow's model works, and children diagnosed under the Autism Spectrum can attain success in a mainstream classroom environment. Every student except for one was successfully mainstreamed out of Cornerstone.  Currently, through her private practice as a consultant, Dr. Dustow designs and administers behavioral strategies for children. She also specializes in facilitating tactical approaches for children diagnosed under the Austism Spectrum. Dr. Dustow's unique approach, 'bridging realities bilaterally' - is based on her research of bilateral exercises and its effect on decreasing off-task behavior in children diagnosed under the Autism Spectrum. It is her passion to help children and to ensure that each child is treated as an individual, possessing unique abilities that should never be overlooked.
