TACA holds monthly meetings in many locations throughout the United States that feature educational speakers on important topics and allow family members to connect with one another and stay on top of the latest information in the autism world. Each TACA group maintains a resource library of the latest autism books and DVDs/CDs that can be checked out by members at no charge.

Speaker: Carrie Dishlip, M.S. CCC-SLP and Supervisor of Speech Language Pathology and Social Skills at Pediatric Therapy Network. Come and learn about strategies to help your child to increase their skills in the following areas:
Speaker Bio: Carrie Dishlip graduated from the University of Arizona with a Masters in Speech-Language Pathology in 2002. She has worked in pediatrics and has experience working with children with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, childhood apraxia of speech, emotional and mental health disorders and various developmental delays. She has been running Buddy Club social skill groups for 5 years. |

SPECIAL EVENT: $5 Autism Family Night at the Aquarium of the Pacific |
| Time: 5pm -9pm Location: Aquarium of the Pacific 100 Aquarium Way Long Beach, CA. 90802 Directions from your location Join us on Friday, October 8, 2010 for a special evening at the Aquarium for families with adults or children with autism. The entire Aquarium, except Lorikeet Forest, will be open until 9:00pm. This will be a peaceful evening when guests can enjoy the tranquility of the exhibits and meet 11,000 animals from the world's largest ocean. Admission is just $5.00 for everyone after 5:00pm. | Come and get some recipes of foods that you can put on your table for the Holidays. You don't need to go without, just make a plan and go for it! All of your favorites can be created GFCF ...turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, apple pie, pumpkin pie, and whipped cream.
