SPEAKER - Marla Saltzman, MA, BCBA, is the Co-Founder and Clinical Director of Autism Behavior Intervention, Inc., and has specialized in the treatment of children across the autism spectrum since 1995.

In 1996, Ms. Saltzman began working with the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD), where she ultimately held the position of Senior Clinical Supervisor. In 1999, Marla’s interest in providing behavior intervention for children with autism took her to Sydney, Australia where she established and managed a well-respected practice, providing treatment and consultation to over 100 children and their families throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Upon her return to the United States in 2002, Marla continued designing individualized ABA-based programs for young children, while at the same time traveling throughout the United States and internationally, training parents and autism professionals to provide the most effective treatment to children with autism. During this time, she and colleagues designed an ABA-based language curriculum to enhance language development in children with autism. This curriculum incorporates both behavioral and linguistic frameworks, which together result in the most comprehensive language curriculum

Ms. Saltzman co-founded ABI in 2005 because of all of her experiences in the fields of autism and behavior analysis. What she loves most is working with children and designing innovative teaching programs to help each child reach his or her maximum potential.
