TACA holds monthly meetings in many locations throughout the United States that feature educational speakers on important topics and allow family members to connect with one another and stay on top of the latest information in the autism world. Each TACA group maintains a resource library of the latest autism books and DVDs/CDs that can be checked out by members at no charge.

Our Washington team offers monthly meetings at Bates Technical College (South Campus) in Tacoma providing support opportunities for families throughout the Puget Sound community. Meeting times are updated regularly - please check back for updates.

Steps to Obtain Services from the Division of Disabilities and Research Opportunities at the UW Autism Center

Tacoma Representative from Division of Developmental Disabilities will be describing steps parents should take to obtain services and will provide applications to do so. Dr. Raphael Bernier from UW Autism Center will be updating us on his center's current research and shares information about opportunities for free services in exchange for participation in UW Research programs Plus: Hear from other families already in the system and/or who participated in research and learn tips from them! Afterward, chat with fellow families already in the system and/or who participated in research and learn tips from them!

We had a few goodies left from our Harvest Party! We'll be giving away a variety of new children's books and Yummy Earth organic lollipops to take home to your kids' (first-come, first-serve while supplies last). One lucky attendee will win an all-natural bath salts basket in our free drawing.
